There is nothing more important than health and wellness. When we feel good, we enjoy life, contribute more and take better care of ourselves and our families. The secret? Slowing down and getting back to basics. We all get caught up in the fast paced culture we live in and in the end, we become victims of it. By taking ownership of our lives, modeling others and staying consistent, positive change can happen.
Lets face it; life presents many challenges and obstacles as we try to stay fit and take care of all other areas of our lives. My mission is to motivate, educate and create a sense of independence toward all aspects of fitness so that physical and emotional success is achieved. Fitness is a lifestyle and it is important to incorporate it into your schedule just as you take a bath and brush your teeth.

My Philosophy on Fitness Training & Nutrition
- To improve functional fitness and strengthen the muscles needed for everyday movement
- To improve fitness by incorporating exercise and proper nutrition into your day-to-day routines.
- My method involves improving balance and core strength by focusing on proper form, breathing techniques and promoting self-awareness.
- An emphasis on cardiovascular exercise to strengthen the heart
- Strict diets do not work, that is why I create a program that incorporates some of your favorite foods
- It’s about modifying your eating behaviors to improve overall health
I also evaluate your eating patterns and dietary habits to make suggestions of what you should incorporate into your daily intake. I encourage eating multiple times a day at specific intervals to increase the metabolic rate and burn more calories.
Flexibility increases the range of motion around a joint to help increase mobility, reducing the chance of injury, muscle discomfort and stress. Using strength, nutrition and flexibility strategies, I am able to help my clients achieve remarkable results including weight management, improved eating habits, and an overall healthier lifestyle.

What to Expect
The purpose of your first meeting with me is to get to know each other, learn about your fitness goals, eating habits as well as your daily routine and medical history. It also provides you with an opportunity to find out more about my programs and answer all the questions you have. Your comfort level is very important to me.
How do we customize a program tailor made for you? I utilize a questionnaire for assessment purposes, after which I customize a program specific to your goals. The first training session is usually a gentle one as it is a time for me to obtain an understanding of where you stand physically, as well as a time for you to get comfortable with me and understand my unique training style. This is also a good time to discuss any physical limitations or concerns you might have such as knee, neck or back problems. Before beginning any exercise regimen, it is important to consult your primary physician. The training session will end with 5-8 minutes of stretching, which helps to cool the body down and keeps the muscles long, lean and flexible.
A part of my program will be to create a plan that you can perform independently outside of our training session. Know that you are not alone! Between sessions you will have phone or email access to me. I will follow up to assess your progress and encourage you to keep going until our next session.
